Start with the operating conditions
Confirm moving mass, impact velocity, available stroke, drive force and cycles per hour. Use consistent units and distinguish measured values from estimates. The five motion entry points route you into the relevant existing calculation variant.
Check more than one rating
Review energy per cycle and per hour, forces, stroke, mounting geometry and operating environment. A match in the catalog means the product meets the implemented filter conditions; it is not final approval for the complete machine or safety function.
Installation and replacement
Confirm alignment, available space, mounting requirements and the exact model drawing before installation. When replacing another brand, provide the original model and operating conditions for review. Do not infer interchangeability from thread size or overall length alone.

The current calculator is for supported shock-absorber motion cases. Vibration-isolation applications and custom systems require engineering review of load, direction, frequency, displacement and installation constraints.
